Joy Bishara and Lydia Pogu escaped from Boko Haram (BH) captivity in 2014. The former Boko Haram victims were saved by a Christian non-profit organization and moved to America. Now high school graduates, the girls met with US President Donald Trump at the White House.
Since they moved to America, the girls alongside other girls who escaped the BH den have experienced a new life. Joy and Lydia attended Canyonville Christian Academy and will be starting university very soon.
As they progress in life, they were privileged to visit the White House on June 28 as well as meet with US President Donald Trump, his daughter, Ivanka and the vice president and his wife.
